Dance Lessons

Our tuition is charged monthly based on the number of hours each week your child is in class. The monthly tuition for your child will not change or be pro-rated for months with holidays & vacations or for missed classes - you are charged the same tuition for September through April to simplify billing. You are not charged tuition the recital month of May if you were a student on record before January of the current season. The result is that you still receive 32 weeks of class from September through May (some months have 5 classes and some vacation months only have 2 or 3).

The length in hours for each class can be found by clicking on the "class schedule" button on our home page. In addition to tuition there is a one-time annual registration fee, recital fee, and costume fee as outlined below. We strongly encourage students to use our autodraft program for monthly tuition which saves you $10 per month in tuition costs.

Effective 2009-2010 season there will be a one-time annual non-refundable registration fee of $30 per student enrolled. For families, the fee is $30 for the first student and $15 for each additional student. The student pays this fee once each year and does not pay multiple registration fees for taking more than one class. This fee does not apply to our group shag lessons.

There will be a one-time $40 fee for students participating in the annual year-end recital plus an extra fee per class for costumes. This costume fee ranges from $35-$50 per class. The $40 recital fee includes a DVD of the performance for each student and unlimited guests at the year-end recital.

We offer discounts for families with more than one student enrolled. We also offer a $10/month discount for students enrolling in our auto-draft payment program. Please email or call the studio to discuss your specific situation.

Our ongoing series of group shag lessons consist of 4-weeks of instruction for $50 per person. Classes free for Junior Shaggers (under 21 years old). Depending on demand at different times of year we may be offering classes specifically for Junior Shaggers - contact the studio for more information. We offer gift certificates for private or group lessons. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. Please call studio for more details.

MISSED OR CANCELLED CLASSES:


If a student misses a class, she/he can make it up in a similar class within a month of the date missed. Please check with your teacher for an appropriate time to make up the instruction. Absences DO NOT reduce the monthly tuition rates.

Tuition will continue to be charged until written notice received or change made via online customer portal

Regular child classes will NOT be held on days when Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools are closed for bad weather. Cancelled classes due to inclement weather DO NOT reduce the monthly tuition rate. Your student can attend a different class that week if available but a formal "make up" class will not be scheduled.

We accept cash, check, Visa, or Master Card. For your convenience, we are also happy to setup direct charge to a credit card for students enrolled in ongoing monthly classes; students using auto draft receive a $10 monthly discount.

Tuition is due the 1st day of each month without exception. There is a $10 fee for late tuition with a maximum window of 30 days before your child will be asked to not attend a class. There is a $25 fee for bounced checks, so don't do it!
